Howard juniors, with guidance from Howard teachers and University of Delaware students studying English Education, sought to create poetry inspired by The Harlem Renaissance. Their poems focused on themes such as daily lives in their communities; experiences with oppression, racism, or prejudice; and continuing legacies.
